Queer as Folk - MM - G
Prompt: Michael/Brian - sunset
Michael stood at the loft window, looking out and watching as the sun set, with Brian next to him. He turned to glance at his friend, seeing his friend standing with his back against the wall, his eyes closed as he took a drag from his joint. "Have you ever noticed how each and every sunset is different. No two are exactly the same. Each morning the sunrise is like that too. The colors can't be duplicated. How they fall and how the rays of light hit ... you just can't see it happening twice in just the same way.
Brian opened his eyes, chuckling a little as he passed the joint to Michael. "Only you, Mikey."
Michael took the offered joint, raising an eyebrow. "Come on, Bri. You can't tell me you've never watched a sunset and noticed the same thing." He took a drag before handing it back to his friend.
Brian shrugged his shoulders, pushing away from the wall. He directed his gaze towards the setting sun, trying to see what Michael saw, but he couldn't. It was just another sunset. All it did for him was signal that another day was coming to an end. Nothing more. If he was another person, an artist like Justin, maybe he'd see it.
"Mikey. Mikey. I'm not Justin. I don't see colors like him. I'll leave that to you two." Brian wrapped his arm around Michael's neck, leading him away from the window. "Babylon?"
Michael sighed, shaking his head. "Yeah ..."
